STRATEGI LOBI DAN NEGOSIASI MANAJEMEN PT. AFI (ES KRIM AICE)

This article aims to discuss the causes of conflict between PT. AFI (Aice Ice Cream Factory) with its own workers which was realized by a boycott carried out by a number of workers. This phenomenon is certainly a challenge for PT. AFI regarding conflict management and conflict resolution strategies that must be implemented to deal with this phenomenon. This research method was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources from related case studies. From secondary data analysis of management theory and conflict resolution, the author found conflict between management and PT workers. AFI is a relationship conflict that can reduce work motivation and productivity of workers. There is also a failure to analyze the conflict and separate it from the individuals involved (depersonalizing). In terms of conflict resolution, management first takes an avoidance approach, then moves to a confrontational approach, and finally takes a compromise approach through third conciliation. If management practices conflict management from the start and tries to find a solution using an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) approach, it is likely that the solution achieved will be collaborative and not just a compromise.
